How to use the new Connectiwse PSA Product Updates

Plus - the best A.I. Notetaker

Greetings and Gigabytes

Connectwise released some new product updates!

Did they release all the Enhancement Requests I have been logging over the years?

No.

But progress in all its forms should still be rewarded, so I’ll show you how to make the most of these enhancements below.

Tech Task of The Week

Check out the new PSA (Manage) Product Updates - 2024.10!

You probably saw the pop up when you logged into your PSA (Manage System)- these enhancements focus on procurement, a field that holds a special place in my heart.

To help you understand and implement these updates, I've created detailed how-to videos:

  1. Updated Shipping Mass Action Information: Learn about the new features and how to make the most of them.

  2. Set Pick and Ship Dates for Products: Discover how to streamline your product handling with these newly introduced options.

If you're involved in procurement or warehousing, these videos are a must-watch! Head over to our online course portal to get all the details and see how these improvements can benefit your daily operations.

Next week we’ll cover the Project Management Updates (2024.11) so stay tuned.

Circuit Break: A Minute of AI

If you’ve been in a meeting with me, you’ll have no doubt seen my trusty Fathom Notetaker join the call.

I’ve tested several A.I. Notetakking apps, and Fathom has been my favourite to work with so far. I've tried Otter and Fireflies, but Fathom takes the cake. Here’s why:

1. Super Easy Setup
Fathom is a breeze to set up. No headaches, no wasted time. I was ready to roll in minutes. I had a much longer setup for the other two and found that my notetakers wouldn’t consistently and easily join my meetings.

2. Plain English Transcriptions
No more deciphering robot-speak. Fathom’s notes sound like a human wrote them whereas sometimes other apps were too specific and made errors in the transcripts.

3. Awesome Video Summaries
The high-level Summary at the end of each call is easy to understand and reminds me of my deliverables. Do you know that you can request a summary email from our calls as well?

4. HubSpot Integration
A little look ahead - I linked my Fathom Notetaker to my HubSpot, to keep even better track of client calls. I’ll show you how in a detailed walkthrough next week.

Powering Down

By the time you get this, I’ll be deep in the trenches of an onsite inventory count.

Since I’m usually working remotely, this is a huge treat for me - and there is nothing more fun than organizing a warehouse (… just me?)

If that’s not your idea of a good time, then why not take a moment to get outside and enjoy the sunshine. ☀️
