Everyday Run State: Pro Edition

As you’re reading this, I’m probably somewhere between the airport and Orlando - traveling to IT Nation Connect!

Now, if you’ve ever been to a big industry conference, you’ll understand this next part: there are two versions of me that attend every single one.

Boss Monica is a planner’s planner. She books every breakout session weeks in advance, highlights key speakers, makes a color-coded schedule, and has a running list of people she wants to meet. Her calendar is synchronized across devices, her notes are prepped in her reMarkable, and every minute of the conference is accounted for.

And then there’s Conference Monica.

Conference Monica… has other ideas.
She skips a few sessions, lingers in the hallway catching up with old friends, finds herself deep in lobbycon conversations, and lets the universe decide which rooms she should walk into.

And honestly, that’s where most of the good stuff happens. The hallway chats. The tool demos you stumble into. The connections you didn’t know you needed to make.

So as I head into IT Nation Connect this week, I’m embracing both.
Boss Monica will have her color-coded schedule - and Conference Monica will think Boss Monica needs to GET A LIFE.

Tool Spotlight

Mizo - AI-Driven Triage & Ticket Routing

One of the tools I’m most excited to check out at IT Nation this year is Mizo, a company competing in the PitchIT Competition.

Mezo uses AI to automatically triage and route tickets - reducing noise, improving dispatch accuracy, and helping MSPs prioritize the right work at the right time. From what I’ve seen so far, their approach focuses on understanding context, not just keywords - which means fewer false escalations and faster time-to-resolution.

I’ll be attending their PitchIT presentation this week to see it in action and learn how it integrates with ConnectWise PSA (Manage). Expect a deeper review in next month’s Tool Spotlight once I’ve had the chance to test it firsthand.
